Project Overview

A conceptual design for a 0.5 MTPA green steel pelletisation plant that integrates hydrogen-based direct reduction with renewable energy-powered pellet induration. The plant is designed to process low-grade iron ore fines (58–62% Fe) into high-grade DRI pellets suitable for EAF charging. Key innovations include waste heat recovery from the reduction reactor to power the pelletising circuit, and AI-driven quality control for consistent pellet chemistry. Feasibility studies indicate a 65% reduction in carbon footprint versus conventional pellet plants.
