Project Overview

Furnace Raw Material (FRM) optimization is a proprietary approach to blend secondary raw materials—mill scale, zinc dross, steel slag, and ferrous dust—into a calibrated charge for electric arc furnaces and induction furnaces. Our FRM formulations have been deployed across 12+ steel plants in India, reducing primary raw material consumption by 18–25% while maintaining desired steel chemistry. The process involves detailed characterisation of each residue stream, followed by computational blending models that account for Fe content, impurity levels, and thermal behaviour in the furnace.
